What is a "Corner-Rounding End Mill"?

The corner-rounding end mill does to sharp external corners what the ballnose end mill does to sharp internal corners. Tools are available which will produce a radii ranging from 1/16 to 1/2 inch. The tapered end mill is commonly used in tool and die work where draft angles must be machined in mating die and mold surfaces. These ball-nosed tools normally have two or three teeth and an included angle of 5 or 14 degrees. Tapered end mills are one of the few end mills available with straight teeth as well as helical teeth.
