What is a "Tapered End Mill"?
The tapered end mill is commonly used in tool and die work where draft angles must be machined in mating die and mold surfaces. These ball-nosed tools normally have two or three teeth and an included angle of 5 to 14 degrees. Tapered end mills are one of the few end mills available with straight teeth as well as helical teeth.
