What is an "Abrasive"?
Abrasive is a material which is very hard. It may be naturally occurring e.g. Diamond and Quartz, or Synthetic man-made compounds e.g. Aluminum Oxide, Silicon Carbide and CBN. An abrasive has to be harder than the material it is machining.
