What is "Ceramic"?
Made form finely powdered aluminum oxide sintered into the desired form. Ceramics operate at higher speeds than carbides, plus they wear longer provide smoother finishes, and can machine harder materials. They are however less shock resistant. Typcially used for high speed turning.
