What is "Cam Grinding"?
Cam Grinding is the machining of the cam profile by grinding. In this process the cam shaft is rocked back and forth with the grinding wheel in a stationary position. The latest CNC cam grinding machines use a different concept where it is the grinding wheel which is moved and the cam shaft which remains stationary.
