What are the guidelines for mounting a vitrified bond grinding wheel?
1. Inspect the wheel for shipping damage (visual) 2. Clank test 3. Check maximum peripheral speed (color code) 4. Dampen blotter on both sides of wheel (coolant emulsion/rust inhibitor) 5. Mount wheel on flange (note: tighten the screws crosswise) 6. Balance the wheel (static balancer) 7. Mount the wheel and flange onto machine and dress on the circumference 8. If necessary rebalance the wheel (dynamically on machine) 9. Test run the wheel at the permissible peripheral speed (approx. 5-10 min.) 10. Observe the safety regulations in various countries.
