What are "Resin Bonded Wheels"?

Most resin bonded wheels contain 75% to 100% concentration of abrasive. Resin bond wheels generally have the softest, easiest grinding action of the four types of bonding systems. Resing bond wheels have good free-cutting qualities. They can remove material fast, but have limited form holding and life characteristics. Resin bond wheels are typically used in toolrooms and production aplications for the grinding of carbides, ceramics, tool steels, other hardened steels and superalloys. They can be effectively used in the broades range of applications. They are available in a broad range of shapes and sizes. Resin bond wheels exhibit a fair degree of mechanical bonding and can be designed for both wet and dry grinding modes.
