What are characteristics of "Metal Bond Wheels"?

As metal is the toughest bonding material used in wheel manufacturing, these wheels are very successful in the accurate, predictable nd economical removal of stock material. Typical concentration levels range from 50% to 150%. Metal bond wheels are widely used for internal, form and creep-feed grinding applications. Key characteristics of Metal bond wheels are: a tough bond, with high abrasion and heat resistance; it is excellent for interrupted grinding applications; the wheels have very long tool life; much higher power is required; the wheels have excellent form holding capabilities; off line dressing is required.
