What shape should the rotary diamond-dressing wheel be?
That depends on the shape of the grinding wheel forms necessary to produce the desired parts. Such as minimum groove width, minimum inside radii, and draft angle impact the shape of the diamond-dressing wheel. The CNC can precisely tell the dressing wheel where it should go, but it must be physically possible for that wheel to produce the grinding wheel form. Suppliers of diamond dressing wheels generally have very good information on this product and it’s capabilities.
